Each frame features a unique serial number embedded in a precision CNC-machined and deep laser-engraved lightweight aluminum badge.

3D Printed Frame

The Nova X5 is crafted using SLA 3D printing, leveraging laser precision and our proprietary aerospace-grade materials to achieve intricate details and tight tolerances. This advanced manufacturing process enables complex designs that traditional methods cannot replicate, resulting in a lighter, stronger, and more efficient frame.

 

Unlike conventional carbon fiber frames with 20-40 separate components, the Nova X5 consists of just two seamlessly integrated parts. This not only reduces weight but also enhances structural integrity, ensuring peak performance and durability. Through cutting-edge 3D printing, we are redefining what’s possible in drone engineering.

Precision Engineered

AI-Designed & Human Perfected

The Nova X5 concept was shaped through AI simulations, cloud-based supercomputing, and generative design, mimicking nature’s evolutionary processes. By defining key parameters like material selection, manufacturing methods, and performance goals, thousands of virtual iterations were tested to create the most optimized frame.

The human touch has been given to the final design with over 5,000 vertex nodes placed by hand using 3D modeling tools, ensuring a perfect balance of strength, efficiency, and beautiful aesthetics.

Shaped by the Wind

Based on thousands of hours of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations, the Nova X5’s geometry is optimized for speed, acceleration, and efficiency, pushing the limits of drone technology. Low drag airfoil-profiled motor arms with internal cable routing ensure a streamlined design and unobstructed propeller airflow for maximum performance.

Strategically placed air inlets cool the electronics, while rear outlets leverage the Bernoulli principle to enhance thrust through heat expansion.

Supervolant is built on a relentless pursuit for innovation, precision, and performance. The Nova X5 is a testament to this philosophy, a drone designed to push the boundaries of what’s possible in FPV flight. Every aspect of its design, from design over material selection to aerodynamics, has been carefully engineered to deliver the ultimate flying experience.

My name is Robert Gardemin, and I am the founder of Supervolant. As a passionate engineer from Germany, my love for flight started early on. Since childhood, I have been designing, building, and flying model airplanes. Fascinated by technological advancements and driven by an unstoppable urge to fly, I immersed myself in the FPV scene since 2016. To this day I continue to be excited by the feeling of high speed first-person-view flying, it is simply the coolest hobby.

My career in aviation has taken me from hands-on technician roles to engineering positions at leading aerospace companies like Lilium Aviation and Quantum Systems, where I worked on next-generation vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (VTOL).

The Nova X5 is more than just a drone, it’s the result of my passion for FPV flight and my dedication to pushing the boundaries with modern science and engineering. What started as a personal challenge has now evolved into a truly innovative product that I’m beyond excited about to share with you. After thousands of hours of design, testing, breaking, refining and 24 design revisions, Nova X5 has become something I’m incredibly proud of.

I decided to include this section about myself and my story because I’m proud of what I’ve created and want you to know that with every Nova X5 you hold in your hands, my name and commitment to quality are built into it.
